The Laurent Ferrier Classic Auto Sandstone is a round, pebble-shaped stainless steel dress watch in 40 millimeters. You think the dial color is sandstone-like, which is true, however LF also describes it as a rose-hued dial with earthy and coppery tones. Also true.
It pairs these warm colors on a vertically satin-brushed finish dial center and a darker railway track for the minutes. The Assegai-shaped hands and drop-shaped indexes are from white gold, matching the sand dial and brown-ish snailed and punctuated sub dial. Which has slate grey markers and a baton hand to indicate the small seconds. At the 3 o’clock position is a date with slate grey typo on a white disc, and the center of the dial also has a central cross for some extra visual impact.

The bridges are rhodium-plated with Côtes de Genève and in total there are 139 manual finishing operations to embellish the movement, also leading to a serious price tag of the watch.
The Auto Sandstone comes on a dark brown calf leather strap with tone-on-tone Alcantara lining and a stainless steel pin buckle. And it is limited to 20 pieces only.
