The Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer Rose Gold and Steel are the follow-up of two models that were presented in 2021. Which makes the series complete with four models, each limited to 25 pieces. Series 1 and 2 from 2021 are executed in white gold, this new series 3 and 4 have other precious materials for the case and other dial colors as well.

The new faces are also housed in a 44-millimeter case. The rose gold version features a Black Rhodium dial, the steel version has a Pacific Green dial. By the way, this steel is not just stainless steel, but 904L steel. Which is even harder and more resistant than the regular 316L stainless steel that is more often used in the watch industry. The Central Impulse Chronometer has a constant-force, double independent escapement wheels with a double gear train, which results into two ideal synchronized seconds hands. One of those seconds hands rotates in an opposite direction. All visible on the guilloché dial side with an 8-shaped design.

Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer 2023 has a power reserve of 38 hours

Inside the watch is Bernhard Lederer’s multiple award-winning caliber 9012 equipped with two escapement wheels that could be admired through the domed sapphire case back. It delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. The constant-force remontoire in each of the two independent gear trains, with their own barrel, makes it extremely accurate, for which the movement got a Certificate of Chronometry.

The finishing of the movement is excellent. It is frosted with hand-beveled bridges, and has wheels with circular grinding and hand-beveled spokes. Which makes the Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer an additional high performance work to the watchmaking industry.
