Ten years after launching their first diver, and discontinued it along the way, ML is back in the diving business with the Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver. The new version has improved readability, looks slightly more modern, is one millimeter smaller and has the same Sellita SW200-based ML115 movement. But, the old model from 2013 (see the last photo in this article) could withstand 600 ATM, the new only has to do it with half of that. So you will get a better looking watch which cannot go as deep as the old one…

The new model comes in two dial colors in a stainless steel case: black grained and white lacquered. And then there is a bronze case with a blue grained dial. Which gives potential buyers some choice, especially as you will get some additional straps to change the looks a little further. For the bronze you need to hurry, that’s limited to 500 pieces.

The Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver can go up to 30 ATM

The 42-millimeter stainless steel cases are brushed and polished. The black dial version has a black opaline bezel, the white dial version a white lacquered. The bronze case is also 42 millimeters and only brushed for a more rough effect. Its bezel comes in dark blue. Markers and numerals on the bezel and dial are lined with white super-luminova. And the bezel rotates internally, a cool feature operated by the crown at the 2 o’clock position. Which has a color-coordinating circlet “for easier operation” according to ML, but it does not light up in the dark.

Inside the Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver is the caliber ML115 providing a power reserve of 38 days. Not the most modern when it comes to power, but a proven automatic with date indication that served in the old model too. It is a Sellita SW200-1 and only the rotor differs: it’s ML branded now.

The stainless steel versions come with three straps: two from rubber in different colors with embossed brand name and one nylon with rhodium-plated M-logo. All with stainless steel pin buckle. The bronze Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver comes on a vintage dark blue leather strap and has an additional dark blue rubber strap – both with brand name or logo. And both with a bronze pin buckle. The Easychange system makes changing the straps, errr… easy.
