The MB&F LM Perpetual EVO Blue is the latest addition to the LM Perpetual Evo series by the Swiss brand that creates watch-like machines. The model is succeeding the previous titanium version with a green dial plate launched in 2021. However, the brand already introduced the Perpetual Evo collection in 2015, but the production numbers are low. To keep the watch exclusive but moreover, it takes a lot of time to build watches like this.
The EVO Blue has a diameter of 44 millimeters and a thickness of 17.5 millimeters. The first three Perpetual EVO’s are executed in zirconium – a rather unusual metal for a watch. The green 2021 model and this new blue model are from titanium.
On every millimeter of the dial is something special going on
The dial is partly open-worked, revealing the icy blue dial plate that serves as a background on the dial side. But what’s striking here is the signature feature of the LM Perpetual series, V figure at the center. It is hooked with a 14 millimeter balance wheel with traditional regulating screws, all visible on top of the movement.
Surrounding the balance wheel is the perpetual calendar divided into galvanic black sub dials at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock position. Weekdays, month and date. Hour and minutes are on top at 12 o’clock, and there are some cool smaller features. A power reserve indicator near 5 o’clock and a retrograde leap year indicator at 7 o’clock.
The MB&F LM Perpetual EVO Blue has a power reserve of 72 hours
Visible through its sapphire case back is a hand-wound movement with double mainspring barrel. It has superlative hand finishing in 19th century style, which means it is done with traditional techniques. The power reserve is 72 hours.
The MB&F LM Perpetual EVO Blue comes on a white rubber strap with titanium folding buckle. The model is limited to 15 pieces only.
