The MB&F LM2 Palladium (Legacy Machine No. 2) is the latest timepiece from founder Maximilian Büsser and his team. It is merely somehow an offspring to the Legacy Machine series but this time with a palladium case featuring an enticing aquamarine with engraved sunray dial.

MB&F announced their first Legacy Machine No. 2 back in 2013 and from that time on it is considered as one of the most progressive appearances of a mechanical watch. The series started with an 18k red gold case with a silver dial, an 18k white gold with black dial and a 950 platinum with blue dial. Later a grade 5 titanium version with greenish blue dial was released, an 18k white gold edition with a purple dial and an 18k red gold with deep blue dial. So it was about time for a palladium version.

The MB&F LM2 Palladium has two balance wheels for more accuracy

Like the other Legacy Machine N2’s this MB&F LM2 Palladium measures 44 millimeters. The main dial on which you can read the time is a white lacquer sub-dial with contrasting slightly curved blue hands. Just below the dial are two suspended balance wheels that are reinforced by V-shaped arched bridges nearly touching the domed sapphire. Using two balanced wheels increases the accuracy of the watch.

At the bottom you can see the differential supported by a double-arc mirror-polished bridge inset with three large jewels. The case back is also sapphire crystal in order to let you admire more of the construction of the movement. This manual-winding movement has a three dimensional design and provides a power reserve of 45 hours.

The MB&F LM2 Palladium comes on a brown hand-stitched alligator strap with a palladium tang buckle, and the watch is limited to 18 pieces only. If you want one, you’re too late. It’s sold out.
