With the Omega Specialties Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition the Swiss brand presents their third watch for the Olympic Games in Paris. Last year there was a warming up with the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024, in stainless steel with gold. And recently there was the Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024, in either steel or gold. And as Omega is the official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932 more models might follow.
This new classic looking Paris 2024 includes all alloys used for the Olympic medals: gold, silver and bronze. For this Omega went into their laboratories to blend gold and bronze for the 39-millimeter case. The radiant dial is from Ag 925 silver adorned with Clous de Paris pattern in the center. The minute track has a circular brushed pattern and the sub dial at 6 o’clock has the brand’s renewed layout for the small seconds.
The Omega Specialties Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition has a power reserve of 72 hours
Its entire design is inspired by the Omega CK 859 from 1939, a watch with the Omega caliber 30T2. Which was also used for Omega’s famous Dirty Dozen model, the Omega CK2292. A hand-wound three-hander, and Omega tributes this 30T2 movement with the Omega caliber 8926 in the new watch. Also a hand-winder, METAS certified, with a co-axial escapement and a power reserve of 72 hours.
The Omega Specialties Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition comes on a brown leather strap with Bronze Gold pin buckle. Its case back is engraved with BG 859, a nod to the reference CK 859, where BG stands for Bronze Gold. And of course, the Olympics logo.
