The Oris Divers Date 39 mm marks the continuation of a storied legacy that began with Oris’ first diver’s watch six decades ago. This new collection celebrates the approaching 60th anniversary of the original design. Now bringing a modern twist on the classic design.

The Divers Date belongs to Oris’ longstanding tradition of tool watches. In 2015 the brand reimagined its diver’s watch for a new generation with the Divers Sixty-Five collection. Their new line of divers, to which the Sixty-Five belongs, offers significant enhancements. Including improved water resistance, a ceramic bezel insert, and a modern automatic movement.

Three colors for the Divers Date

This Divers Date has a stainless steel case that measures 39 millimeters in diameter, with a unidirectional rotating bezel. This has a black ceramic insert with a diver’s scale. The dial comes in three colors: black, blue, and beige, each with luminous markers and hands coated in super-luminova.

The domed sapphire crystal is coated with anti-reflective material on the inside. And the case back is transparent, giving a clear view of the movement. The glass of the case back is mineral glass, not sapphire.

Powering this Oris Divers Date 39 mm is the Oris caliber 733, an automatic movement based on the Sellita caliber SW200-1. This movement offers a power reserve of 41 hours in this watch, in other models it’s 38 hours.

The Divers Date is fitted with a multi-piece stainless steel bracelet, equipped with a folding clasp and a quick strap change system. Additionally, the watch comes with a black rubber strap. Priced around 2.1 to 2.7k, the Divers Date sits in the mid-range dive watch market. Not with the most modern movement, but the price is attractive enough.
