The Oris Father Time Limited Edition is the outcome of a partnership with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). This announcement celebrates the three-year collaboration between the two, which started in 2022. The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is one of the oldest and most prestigious cricket clubs in the world. It is based in London, England, and was founded in 1787. The club’s name is derived from its original location in Marylebone, a district in central London.

Essentially, the watch is named after a significant symbol at Lord’s Cricket Ground. In 1926, the architect Sir Herbert Baker gave the Father Time weathervane to the owners of Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). He offered it as an apology for finishing the construction of the Second Grandstand behind schedule. This weathervane is mounted on the clock tower that overlooks the pitch. And 1926 also reflects the limited number of the watch.

This Father Time Limited Edition is an addition to the Big Crown Pointer Date collection, a design that was originally introduced in 1938. And this model is an almost all-bronze timepiece. The case, bezel and crown are made of solid bronze with a diameter of 40 millimeters. However, the case back is made of stainless steel with an engraved figure of the Father Time weathervane. And the limited edition number.

The watch runs with an automatic Oris caliber 754 with pointer date function. It has a power reserve of 38 hours with a red bidirectional rotor. The Oris Father Time Limited Edition comes on a bronze bracelet, matching the case. With an additional light brown leather strap made from sustainably sourced deer leather produced by Oris’ Swiss partner Cervo Volante.
