The Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II is the second diver from Oris that supports the Great Barrier Reef, the unique Australian diving location. Among divers, this is one of the most popular and most beautiful diving sites in the world but it is also one of the most endangered sites.
The Great Barrier Reef stretches over a length of about 2,300 kilometers off the coast of Queensland in Australia. It contains 2,900 reefs and about 900 small islands. All together it is the world’s largest coral reef with an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometers. Since 1981 it is on to the world heritage list.
The Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) preserves this unique location with financial support by Oris. A part of the profits from the Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II watches is donated to AMCS.

The Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II is based on the Oris Aquis, one of the most popular divers from Oris. The Limited Edition I was the first spin-off, this one is obviously the second. It has a striking appearance with its ocean color dial with bright and clear hands. Inside the watch you will find Oris’ caliber 735. Both the date and the days of the week are displayed on the dial. The hands and the hour markers glow in the dark, thus under water. The case is made of stainless steel, has a diameter of 46 millimeters and is waterproof up to 50 bar (500 meters / 1,640 feet).
In order to facilitate the wearing of the watch when diving, the rubber band is provided with a special closing mechanism developed by Oris. To develop this Oris consulted professional divers, resulting in a clasp that is easily adjustable, easier to wear over a wetsuit and firmly seated. Very important when diving.
