Panerai marks the 25th anniversary of the Paneristi community by unveiling a new timepiece, the Panerai Luminor Venticinque with reference PAM02025. This watch, limited to 1000 pieces, was set to be previewed at the P-Day event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 4th, 2024. And of course, “venticinque” is Italian for “twenty-five”.
The timepiece will be available for pre-order exclusively to Paneristi members for one month before being released to the public in September 2025. The PAM02025 reflects Panerai’s history and the collaborative nature of its relationship with the Paneristi community. Which makes it a significant release for both the brand and its followers.
Not the first Paneristi edition
Panerai has released several models over the years dedicated to the Paneristi community. Apparently, these models sell well. The first Paneristi-dedicated release was the Luminor Marina PAM00195, introduced in 2004. Followed by other models like the PAM00360 and PAM00532.
This new Luminor Venticinque continues this tradition, within Panerai’s Luminor collection. It is designed with input from Paneristi members, ensuring that the final product aligns with the desires of its most devoted followers. This collaborative process allows the community to have a voice in the creation of timepieces. Of course, fostering a bond between the brand and its enthusiasts/buyers.
Design elements and historical inspiration
This PAM02025 draws inspiration from Panerai’s iconic Luminor PAM00127, also known as the “Fiddy”. The 47-millimeter Fiddy, introduced in 2003, was a tribute to Panerai’s historical models, particularly the 1950s-era watches designed for the Italian Navy.
It echoes this legacy with its 44-millimeter so called brunito steel case, a finish achieved through a manual process that gives each piece a unique character. This aged effect is reminiscent of vintage gun barrels, adding to the watch’s distinctive aesthetic.
Blue gradient dial
One of the standout features of the PAM02025 is its blue gradient sandwich dial, complemented by beige super-luminova X1 for enhanced legibility. The dial’s design not only honors the past but also incorporates modern elements for improved functionality.
The domed sapphire crystal, inspired by the 1960s models, enhances the watch’s overall readability, particularly in underwater or low-light conditions. The crystal is made from corundum, a material known for its durability, ensuring the watch is resilient in demanding environments.
The Panerai Luminor Venticinque has a power reserve of 72 hours
This Panerai Luminor Venticinque is powered by the Panerai caliber P.6000, a manual wind movement with a 3-day power reserve. The movement is visible through the see-through smoked crystal case back. Which also bears the Paneristi 25th anniversary logo, adding an extra touch to this limited-edition piece.
The PAM02025 is presented in a special wooden box, a signature of Panerai’s limited editions. It also comes with an additional blue rubber strap, offering versatility for those who want to switch between vintage leather and more contemporary rubber options.
