Panerai commemorates its iconic Radiomir collection with a new addition, the Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech with reference PAM01453. The model celebrates Radiomir’s legacy, dating back to 1935 when Panerai created its first wristwatch prototype. This new PAM01453 introduces a perpetual calendar complication to the Radiomir lineup, marking an evolution in Panerai’s watchmaking approach.
The Radiomir collection has always focused on functionality and readability and is known for its cushion-shaped case and sandwich dial. The collection was initially created to meet the demands of military divers. While refined with modern features, it continues this legacy by incorporating Panerai’s proprietary Goldtech. Which is a blend of gold, platinum, and copper that enhances the metal’s strength and lends it a deep red hue.
45-millimeter case
In terms of build, the PAM01453 has a 45-millimeter polished Goldtech™ case, a defining size that ensures visibility and presence on the wrist. The case houses a white sun-brushed dial featuring a sandwich construction. This dial layout is marked with Arabic numerals and indices filled with beige super-luminova.
The “calendario perpetuo”, Italian for perpetual calendar, is at the 3 o’clock position with a day/date indication. The rest, months, years, and leap year indication, and also the power reserve indicator, is at the back of the watch. A rather unusual position and not very handy. At 9 o’clock are the small seconds, a 24-hour hand, and an A.M./P.M. indication, while the short central hand also indicates the hours on a 24-hour scale. Although the scale is absent.
The power reserve of the Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech is 72 hours
At the heart of this Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech is the Panerai caliber P.4100. It is an automatic movement that represents years of development within Panerai’s Neuchâtel manufacture. The caliber offers a three-day power reserve, stored in two barrels and wound via an off-center micro-rotor.
This movement design prioritizes reliability and smooth functionality over elaborate finishing, underscoring Panerai’s focus on utilitarian sophistication. Panerai has designed the perpetual calendar for easy adjustments through the crown, a feature that minimizes the need for tools or extra steps, even at month-end or near midnight. A transparent sapphire case back offers a view of the intricate movement.

Completing the PAM01453’s look is a brown alligator leather strap with tone-to-tone stitching and a trapezoidal polished clasp. Also made from matching Goldtech.
This Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453 is priced around 40 to 50k. On the one hand due to the gold and on the other hand due to its complications. It is available exclusively at Panerai boutiques.
