Another Panerai dedicated to yacht racing is the Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech. One out of eleven (!) models showing the brand’s partnership with the Italian sailboat racing team Luna Rossa. Since 2019 the Italian brand is the official sponsor of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team, and the next race is the 37th America’s Cup. This time with five events in Barcelona, Spain, that stared on the 22nd of August and ends on the 27th of October 2024.
This Submersible is basically the same as the Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa that comes in stainless steel. However, this new PAM01563 has a Carbotech case and bezel, and a titanium case back. And it can withstand a little more water: 30 ATM vs 50 ATM. The size is 42 millimeters as well, and for those who are unfamiliar with Carbotech: it is carbon fiber mixed with polymer. Resulting in a very strong and ultralight material.
The Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech has a power reserve of 72 hours
Just like the aforementioned steel Submersible the dial is sun-burst blue, and sports hours and minutes, small seconds and a date. The movement of the Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech is the automatic Panerai caliber P.900. With an Incabloc anti-shock device and just one barrel for 72 hours (3 days) of power reserve.
This PAM01563 comes on a bi-material rubber and blue textile strap with Luna Rossa red stripe and a trapezoidal titanium DLC pin buckle. The watch is limited to 37 pieces in ode to the 37th America’s Cup and will only be available online for just 24 hours on the 5th of September 2024.
