These two Perrelet Turbine Ice Blue models in carbon and titanium are inspired by the highest gravity dam in the world. It’s called the Grande Dixence and located at the head of the Val d’Hérémence in Switzerland. No, the dam is not ice blue, it’s all grey concrete, but the water coming from the mountains can have this cool light blue color. O, and a dam also has turbines, if you are looking for more clues how to connect a watch with a dam.
Both watches are not new, as Perrelet has repeated the turbine-concept more than once. A 44-millimeter in carbon with this Perrelet Turbine Splash for instance. And a 41-millimeter in titanium with this Perrelet Turbine Mexico Limited Edition for instance. Same materials, some movement, same dial layout, only the colors differ. As the two new ones have an ice blue background and some ice blue details.
The Perrelet Turbine Ice Blue Carbon and Titanium have a power reserve of 42 hours
Both Perrelet Turbine Ice Blue Carbon and Titanium watches run on the Perrelet caliber P-331-MH, manufactured by Soprod. Which has the same owner as Perrelet. It’s an automatic movement that is Chronofiable and COSC certified, with a power reserve of 42 hours. The bridges are rhodium-plated, with circular graining decoration and the oscillating weight on ball bearings is open-worked, rhodium-plated, and has a Perrelet logo.
The 44-millimeter carbon version comes on a black calf leather strap with alligator pattern and ice blue stitching and rubber lining. The folding clasp is executed in black PVD stainless steel, and you will get an additional rubber strap. The 41-millimeter titanium version has an ice blue rubber strap with black DLC coated titanium pin buckle. The price for both models is the same.
