The Perrelet Weekend Skeleton is the latest addition to the brand’s Weekend collection, first launched in 2019. Known for its elegant dress watches, the collection now includes this skeletonized model. Revealing more of the movement than this Perrelet Weekend 3-hands Open Heart Ice Blue for instance.

The Weekend Skeleton comes in three versions, each distinguished by the color of its indices and seconds hand: black, electric blue, or emerald green. The 39.5-millimeter stainless steel case features a matte black PVD coating, giving it a modern look.

Elegant case, skeleton dial

The case is designed to be both elegant and practical, with a thickness of 9.61 millimeters. The dial is protected by anti-reflective sapphire crystal, showcasing the skeletonized movement within. The skeleton dial offers a view of the intricate mechanics, with the anthracite NAC coating and micro-beaded finish adding depth.

Rhodium-plated hour and minute hands are filled with white super-luminova for easy readability in low light. The floating indices add to the dial’s open look, while the colored seconds hand provides a touch of contrast. The slim bezel maximizes the dial space, allowing the skeleton movement to take center stage.

The Perrelet Weekend Skeleton has a power reserve of 42 hours

Inside the Weekend Skeleton, Perrelet uses its in-house caliber P-351-SQ, an automatic skeleton movement. This movement is notable for its slim profile, which helps keep the case height under 10 millimeters. It offers a power reserve of 42 hours, and it is produced by Soprod, a company owned by Perrelet’s parent firm. The skeletonized design and finishing are on full display through the case back, which is secured with four screws.

The oscillating weight, mounted on ball bearings, is open-worked and rhodium-plated, with the Perrelet logo engraved. The contrast between the gilded balance and the other components adds visual interest to the design.

Price of the Weekend Skeleton

The watch is paired with a black calf leather strap, featuring an alligator pattern and grey stitching, secured by a pin buckle in black PVD steel.

These three models are priced at around 2k which offers competitive value compared to other skeleton watches in its segment. Watches like the Hamilton Jazzmaster Skeleton or the Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Squelette are similarly priced, but Perrelet’s in-house movement and detailed finishing set it apart.
