The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in steel is the latest offspring of the Polo series with moon phase and perpetual calendar. Earlier the brand released versions with a rose gold and white gold case, now the steel version makes it little more affordable. It is Piaget’s newest Polo equipped with their ultra-thin 1255P caliber.
This steel version also has a diameter of 42 millimeters with a dark emerald green dial that is also available for the rose gold version. Of course, with Piaget’s signature case-shape. The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in steel has four sub-dials for the perpetual calendar and moon phase. At 12 o’clock the month is shown with six months written and the other six months can be read with a dash in between the written ones. And it has a tiny leap year indicator within.
The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in steel comes with a bracelet and a strap
At 3 o’clock is the date, at 9 o’clock you will find the days, and lastly, the moon phase window at 6 o’clock. A moon with a plain design, without stars and smileys. The movement is designed to advance the day, date, and year until the year 2100, including months, moon phases and leap-year cycle.
The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in steel is powered by the new caliber 1255P that is based on the 1200P caliber from 2010. Basically, it is a 1200P with moon phase, and that 1200P is a direct family member of the renewed caliber 12P from the 1960s, the thinnest movement at the time.
The Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in steel comes on a steel bracelet and you will also get a green rubber strap. We would go for that one and keep the steel bracelet in the box.
