Excuse us for using the word “polo” so much but the American brand is presenting two new Polo Ralph Lauren The Polo Watch watches. It’s a sporty new collection that comes in two colors for now. A version with a green bezel and a version with a blue bezel. And both have the same dial.
The dial is azure matte blue with an engraved circular pattern and a black lacquered flange with white indexes. Which are printed and the hour markers are filled with white super-luminova. On the transition from the blue to the black is an extra minutes/seconds track in yellow on grey.
Vintage diver looks
Apart from the brand name above the center, the dial is very plain, the big hands with luminova plus the bezel and strap give it some extra power. Overall resulting in a watch that has a kind of vintage diver style, although it’s not meant to be a diver.
Still, the anodized aluminium rotating bezel has a 60-seconds scale, but the water resistance is 10 bar. Enough for some splashes but not enough for a deep dive. So, consider this 42-millimeter stainless steel watch as a daily nothing-to-worry-about model.

The movement of the Polo Ralph Lauren The Polo Watch is the Ralph Lauren caliber RL200, which is based on the Sellita caliber SW200-1 b. An automatic no-date version with a power reserve of 38 hours. Simple, reliable, and invisible as the case back is solid stainless steel.
The watch comes with an orange (green bezel) or red (blue bezel) rubber strap with huge POLO branding. In black or white. The rubber is caoutchouc, a natural and very flexible rubber. Close it with the polished stainless steel pin buckle.
