If you want to go art deco style with a classic dress watch in a rather small size, take a look at the Ralph Lauren RL867 series. It comes in 28 millimeters or 32 millimeters and takes its name from the brand’s flagship store in New York at 867 Madison Avenue.

Both small cases are available in sterling silver or 18k rose gold and they look as if they are from the 1920s. The vintage style Roman and Arabic numerals are tinted in black and match decently with the off-white dial. It’s old-fashioned and graceful at the same time and the combination of Roman and Arabic numerals is stylish.

The black Breguet-style hour and minute hands point to the outer and inner concentric squares in which the outer has the minute track and the inner has the hour track. And yes, it has the Ralph Lauren signature with these squares on the dial.

It’s the Piaget caliber 430P, the famous ultra-thin movement by the Swiss brand which is here called the extra-flat RL430 made by Piaget for Ralph Lauren.

Should 28 or 32 millimeters be too small for you, there are 35-millimeter versions, but so far only available in steel.
