The Ressence Type 5 L is a really handy tool when exploring a bat cave, according to the Belgium brand. But going to the movies or taking part in a wild rave might also work. Not our words, but we can see the point. This watch lights-up in the dark. Not with LEDs like the Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID, but more in line with the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Night Driver for example. So, with a massive dose of luminescent material, which is why they call it the Type 5 L.
The model is not new, and actually the same as the Ressence Type 5G Grey for instance, but now with a full super-luminova inlay on the dial. So, it can be perfectly used as a diver with its unidirectional bezel and water resistance up to 100 meters / 330 feet. The watch even meets the ISO 6425 standard for divers. The case also has a mechanism to lock the compression gasket for waterproofing.
The Ressence Type 5 L has a power reserve of 36 hours
Inside is oil so that there is no reflection from the glass, and it helps to make the Type 5 L easier to read under all circumstances. The automatic ROCS 5 caliber from the brand, a module on top of an ETA caliber 2824-2, makes sure that the hours, minutes, 90 seconds runner and oil temperature can be shown on the dial, all on their own individually turning “platform”.
The Ressence Type 5 L comes on a a grey fabric strap with yellow leather lining, closed by an ardillon buckle.
