The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon Titanium is another variant of RD’s Monotourbillon theme, now available in titanium. Earlier the brand already released titanium versions with grey diamond-like coating (DLC) and a titanium Liu Wei edition, this new one is “just” plain titanium. Combined with a skeletonized dial with parts that are mainly different shades of grey, resulting in a minimalist monochromatic appearance.

The main attraction is the flying tourbillon at the 7 o’clock position, where Roger Dubuis always puts it. The shape of the upper cage is inspired by a Celtic Cross and made in non-magnetic cobalt chrome. The lower cage is from titanium. The star pattern on the dial side, also part of the movement’s construction, is subtly visible. The rhodiumed hands and hour markers, together with the engraved minute track, form a nice contrast with the dark background.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon Titanium has a power reserve of 72 hours

This new Excalibur Monotourbillon runs on the Roger Dubuis caliber RD512SQ. Which has a shot-blasted and trued-up main plate and parts with a matte metallic sheen and shiny polished bevels. The movement has a Poinçon de Genève certification and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon Titanium comes on a titanium bracelet, which is easy interchangeable. The clasp is also from titanium. And like most Roger Dubuis models, it is a limited edition, this time of 28 pieces.
