The almost inexhaustible Excaliber series gets a new variant with this Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon White Gold. This reference DBEX0989 with 60 round-cut diamonds on its bezel is almost the same as the earlier released reference DBEX0839. Also a white gold version but with even more diamonds – on the bezel, lugs, and flange of the dial. So, this new one is a bit less shiny.
Compared to the reference DBEX1112, which is this Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon Titanium, the new white gold is a bit brighter. For sure, due to the case material, apart from the gems. Also the bridges, tourbillon cage and other components of the mighty movement appear to be just a little more lighter in color.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon White Gold has a power reserve of 72 hours
Like all mono-tourbillons by the brand this Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon White Gold runs on the Roger Dubuis caliber RD512SQ as well. The tourbillon carriages made in titanium and cobalt chrome have an improved durability thanks to new lube. It also leads to a power reserve of 72 hours. It has 16 types of finishes, all executed by hand, for which the movement got the Poinçon de Genève certification.
The model comes on a white calf leather strap closed by a white gold cover with titanium blades and triple folding. It’s also a boutique only model, limited to 88 pieces.
