Roger Dubuis’ Excalibur collection is extravagant. And the mix of technical know-how and powerful design culminates in this Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Carbon Skeleton Flying Tourbillon.
The highlight is without a doubt the skeleton movement. The movement, plate, bridges and tourbillon upper cage are from multi-layered carbon. It features a carbon honeycomb decor between the plate and the bridges and a tourbillon carriage in the shape of a Celtic cross. Clean and minimalistic? Not really, but that isn’t what the Roger Dubuis clientele is going for.

It is well known that the finishing and level of craftsmanship is high at Roger Dubuis. All of their watches are stamped with the Poinçon de Genève. It takes hundreds of hours to manufacture the caliber and make it worthy of the Poinçon de Genève. And all 179 parts are hand-finished, naturally.
The reason Roger Dubuis can skeletonize this much on the watch, even with a tourbillon, is because they use T700 carbon. The use of this material leads to less vibrations and is therefore more precise. Besides that it is extremely sturdy for the amount of material used.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Carbon Skeleton Flying Tourbillon is limited to 28 pieces. It comes on a bi-color strap with black rubber base and red RubberTech fabric inlay, which is hold together by a DLC-coated titanium folding-clasp.
