The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph Lamborghini Verde Mantis is inspired by Lambo’s SC63 supercar. It’s a wild green (verde mantis) machine that will race Le Mans 2024. And as Dubuis is partner of Lamborghini it means this is the right moment to launch another Excalibur.
Not only Lamborghini’s special green color mixes on this watch, but there are also some nods to Lambo’s favorite shape: the Y. The thin headlights of the SC63 do have this shape, which comes back on the dial. Look at the bar of it, containing super-luminova in Y-shape. And look at the oscillating weight. Moreover, the 45-millimeter case is from carbon, like many parts on the car of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Saves weight, ads speed.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph Lamborghini Verde Mantis has a power reserve of 72 hours
The watch runs on the Roger Dubuis caliber RD780 with a chronograph module and 120° rotating minute counter. It also has a date at 6 o’clock and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement is certified by the Poinçon de Geneve, so a high quality finish is guaranteed.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph Lamborghini Verde Mantis has a black rubber strap with green inlay. Close it with the black DLC titanium cover with titanium blades, which is triple folding. Like more red? The Lamborghini C63 for Le Mans 2024
Should you be interested in the Lamborghini SC63 for Le Mans 2024, here are some highlights. The car has a 3.8 liter V8 twin-turbo engine with hybrid technology, providing 500 kW / 680 PS. Which is the maximum output according to the rules. It’s racing at the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship (Hypercar class LMDh) and does Le Mans 2024 and Daytona 2024. And it is also competing at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (GTP class).
The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque, the body is also from carbon fiber and the car is over 5 meters long, with a weight of 1,030 kilograms. The height is pretty cool: only 1,170 millimeters. The car is driven by the Iron Lynx racing team, with former Formula 1 drivers Romain Grosjean and Daniil Kvyat, among other drivers. Last but not least: the name comes from Squadra Corse (SC), the name of Lamborghini’s racing division. And 63 probably comes from the brand’s founding year: 1963.
