Is this new Super Blue Moonphase only a new color? Well, yes. We haven’t checked the movement yet, but it’s all about a new color. Or colors, as this new one combines silver opaline and blue, just like this magic Omega Speedmaster CK2998 Limited Edition. It’s blue as it celebrates a full blue moon on the 19th of August 2024. The moment the moon is closest to the Earth, thanks to its elliptic orbit, also known as Supermoon. Which happened 3 or 4 times a year.

It has three sub dials for a 60-minutes totalizer, small seconds and a double moon phase. All probably driven by an ETA quartz with a battery life of about 38 months. The case back is closed and only has an aperture for the battery.
