To celebrate the year of the dragon, TAG Heuer presents the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph the Year of the Dragon. As China is going to embrace the year of the dragon in 2024, the Chinese Dragon is very special and firmly established in the Chinese culture. There are two versions of this Carrera Chronograph. A limited edition of 300 pieces for the stainless steel version and 50 pieces for the rose gold one.

These new versions measure 42 millimeters, with a thickness of 14.33 millimeters. It features a silver colored or 18k 5N rose gold plated dial, sunray brushed, with three counters positioned at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. You can also see a date-window just below the counter at 6 o’clock. The rhodium-plated or rose gold applied indexes are red lacquered and have white super-luminova. That matches with the rhodium plated or rose gold facetted, polished hour and minute hands, also with white super-luminova. The flange of the dial, with 60 second/minute scale, is either executed in silver or plated 18k 5N rose gold.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph the Year of the Dragon has a power reserve of 80 hours

It has two round classic push buttons at 2 and 4 o’clock to activate the chronograph, also executed in the material of the case. The steel or rose gold screw-down sapphire case back is engraved with “LIMITED EDITION” and limited edition number. Plus a pattern of a Chinese Dragon.

Inside both models ticks the automatic TAG Heuer caliber Heuer 02 which can be admired through its sapphire case back. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 80 hours. Both watches come on a red alligator leather strap. With either a steel or rose gold folding clasp with double safety pushbuttons and TAG Heuer shield.
