The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Centenary Edition is a limited edition of 10 pieces of TAG’s pretty affordable tourbillon. The watch is a collaboration with the British high-end watch retailer Watches of Switzerland, to celebrate their 100th birthday. Availability for the rest of the world is limited, but apart from 15 showrooms in the UK they also have 9 showrooms in the US…
The concept of this Centenary Edition follows the design of this recent TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Blue Panda, now with an inverse panda or reverse panda dial. So, a bi-compax model, here with a black dial and two silver-white sub dials.
Classic red line
To add some extra sportiness the dial is encircled by a white chapter ring with a red faded line, a nod to classic Carrera’s and also applied on this TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 42 mm for instance. It forms a good match with the red central chronograph seconds hand.
These design features result in a really good looking tourbillon panda, with a classic touch. Subtle as well. With those stepped circular sub dials, with a 12-hour counter on the left and a 30-minute counter on the right.

The movement of this TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Centenary Edition is the automatic TAG Heuer caliber TH20-09. According to TAG Heuer it has a power reserve of 65 hours, Watches of Switzerland thinks it 80. The TH20 movement models are part of the a series by TAG based on the Heuer 02, with a 5 year warranty and COSC certified.
This Carrera Tourbillon comes on a black alligator leather strap with steel folding clasp. We would buy an extra leather motorsports strap, perforated of course plus a cool NATO in black, white and red.
