Since 1969 TAG has a Monaco model and this new TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Dark Blue still has the classic design. Square, curved pushers, a chronograph for sure and linked to racing. So, it is not surprising the Swiss brand launches this watch just a few hours before the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco starts. And they launch it with their big racing star Max Verstappen.
Last year at the Monaco Grand Prix they launched three TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton models, this new one is the same when it comes to the design. However, the 39-millimeter case is now sandblasted black DLC grade-2 titanium combined with an open-worked blue dial. The central chronograph seconds hand, the small counter hands on the left and right and some details on the back are executed in yellow.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Dark Blue has a power reserve of 80 hours
Its movement is the automatic TAG Heuer caliber Heuer 02 with reference TH20-00. It is the chronograph movement of TAG Heuer used in many other models as well. It sports a three-register column wheel chronograph with a power reserve of 80 hours.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Dark Blue comes on an embossed blue calf skin & rubber strap. It is secured by a sandblasted black DLC grade-2 titanium folding clasp with double safety push-buttons. Fan of Verstappen? See if you can get the first TAG Heuer dedicated to Max Verstappen as well.
