This movement has a so called jumpin hour hand, which means you can adjust the ours apart from the minutes. A very handy function when travelling through multiple time zones. So, it’s not a GMT but a quick setting of the hours. The movement is also resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss.

The caliber is based on Omega’s first in-house co-axial movement, the Omega caliber 8500 from 2007. In 2015 this new 8900 is presented to replace the 8500.
