The Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Tourbillon – Tribute to arabesque pays a tribute to the architectural wealth of the Muslim world. As VC already established connections with the Middle East since 1817. The design of this watch is inspired by the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh Dayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

This Tribute to arabesque model is crafted in a 44-millimeter 18K hand-engraved white gold case, with a thickness of 13.50 millimeters. It features an 18K white gold hand-chiseled anthracite dial, an artwork influenced by mashrabiyas. A mashrabiya is a characteristic architectural element used to cover doors and windows to cool a building. These often highly decorated elements can be found on many buildings in the Islamic world and beyond.

Engraving takes up to three months to finish

Engraving a pattern for this watch, layered on the dark dial, takes a month and kind of optically melts together with the tourbillon. The case, bezel and lugs are also engraved and all by all the whole process of engraving takes three months.
