The collaboration between Zenith and Hodinkee gives us the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee. A cool, vintage styled chronograph with triple (or complete) calendar, moon phase and limited to only 200 pieces.
This commercial project between the American watch platform and the Swiss watch brand is not new as Hodinkee teams up with a lot of brands to boost sales for both with unique watches that come with a story.
Same as the regular version however with meteorite sub dials
The story here is a rare prototype El Primero from 1970, the Zenith El Primero Triple Calendar reference 1205SP. Although this Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar released earlier in 2024 is the one that kind of revived the old triple calendar complication-with-a-story. A story about the almost forgotten Zenith caliber 3019 PHF.
This earlier released modern triple calendar is available in silver, grey and green with some gold colored touches. The new collab version is a monochromatic version of that model. Now with a black dial and sub dials crafted from the 4.5 billion year-old Gibeon meteorite. And a black moon phase.
The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee has a power reserve of 60 hours
The movement of the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee is the Zenith caliber El Primero 3610 SC. The power reserve is 60 hours, and the calendar needs adjustment of the date at the end of each month, that’s how a triple calendar work. Of course, the column-wheel chronograph measures times up to 1/10th of a second, and the movement can be seen thought the sapphire case back. Which is engraved with the limited number.
Like most new Zenith models you will get two straps. A stainless steel bracelet with steel folding clasp plus an additional black calfskin leather strap with steel pin buckle. The price is in line with the regular non-limited triple calendar, so between 11 and 13.5k. 75 pieces are sold in Hodinkee’s shop, the other 125 can be bought at Zenith’s platforms.
